Dhaka Bank Ltd, a renowned Banking institution operating in Bangladesh since 1995, recently celebrated the successful implementation of “Ababil” Internet Banking developed by Millennium Information Solution Ltd. (MISL). The Agreement Signing Ceremony was held at the Head Office of Dhaka Bank Ltd.

“Ababil” Internet Banking Solution includes Card Information and billing, payment for passport issue and renewal, utility bill payment, L/C information, account information, mini statement, balance summary, fund transfer, mobile top-up, etc. Along with Internet Banking, Millennium Information Solution Ltd. also provides various other modules necessary for modern banking activities including Core Banking Solution, Agent Banking Solution, Islamic Microfinance Solution, Audit Automation System, etc.

Mr. Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of Dhaka Bank Ltd., and Mr. Mahmud Hossain, Managing Director of Millennium Information Solution Ltd, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations during the celebration. High officials of Dhaka Bank including Deputy Managing Director- Operations, Mr. Md. Shakir Amin Chowdhury, Mr. A M M Moyen Uddin, SEVP & Head of IT, and high officials of Millennium Information Solution Ltd. were present during the occasion.

Ababil has been rated by Gartner Inc., USA as one of the top ten (10) Islamic Banking Solutions in the global arena. It has also been highly rated by IBM Inc. and has recently been awarded by Global Finance Magazine for Process Innovation in Islamic Finance through Ababil. Currently 11 Banks and 2 NBFIs are running their banking operations using various modules of ”Ababil”.
